Welcome to The Speakeasy, a new online discussion platform exclusively for my readers! One of the great joys I’ve experienced as an author is communicating with readers. I do so at live events, via emails, and through my regular e-newsletters to my reader mailing list. Now, I hope The Speakeasy will enhance the sense of community we share. It’s a new online forum for my amazing and loyal readers. Just create an account (or sign in to one you’ve already created) by using your email and a password. Once you’re inside The Speakeasy, you’ll see four forum categories – “Books,” “History,” “Medley,” and “Ask Me Anything.” Feel free to check them out, respond to my (or other members’) comments, add your own, or ask me questions.
My goal is to continue and improve my communication and discussions with you, and to hear what you’re thinking too! If you’ve grown a little weary of all the noise on “big social media,” I think The Speakeasy will be fun, informative, and enhance the sense of community we share as members of the “Puleo team.” In the spirit of goodwill, I’d ask that we focus our comments on the categories listed here (mostly books, events, writing, and history), and that all posts and discussions remain polite and respectful.
I’m excited to have another forum to communicate with you, and more importantly, to hear from you. Let me know what you think.
Welcome to The Speakeasy!
