In my latest “e-blast newsletter” (you can read it here if you haven’t already), you’ll see that I worked with several students on history projects this winter and spring. I so enjoy working with young people and visiting schools to talk about history and writing. For example, I’ll be visiting Everett (MA) High School in June to talk about THE GREAT ABOLITIONIST with history students. I’ve probably visited 75 high schools during my author career, and each time I do, I am impressed with the caliber of questions I receive from the students, and their eagerness to learn.
