At almost every presentation I give, audience members ask me which of my books is my favorite. I always tend to cop out by saying “I like them all and here’s why.” You have been so loyal and supportive of all of my books. Do you have a favorite “Puleo book?” I’d love to hear your answer and some of the reasons why!

So far, Dark Tide is the only one I have gotten to read (and that was the quick type of reading that you do for a research paper, trying to find the important info). I started working on reading through it properly now though, and I hope to read more in the future! Which one do you all think I should read next?

I love all Steve’s books! I have learned so much from each of them! I think I learned the most about Boston in A City So Grand….the info on the filling of the Back Bay is fascinating! I’d recommend this as your next read.

Yes, I asked which is the favorite “child” question at a recent event at the Wareham Free Library and Steve handled it masterfully. I have listened to all Puleo books that are on audio and think so far for my favorites are Dark Tide (I wish my dad, his siblings and my grandparents were still here so I could talk to them about what they remember) and Voyage of Mercy. I have a signed copy of The Boston Italians, which I have not yet read because due to limitations I am mostly an audio-lady these days. But The Boston Italian’s has a place of honor on my shelf next to a signed copy of Stephen King’s 11/24/64 and I will get to it. Looking forward to the next Puleo book. Thanks for The Speakeasy and making it easy to stay connected.
